2023 Year End Update

Greetings, friends of Lifeline Gifts! This year has been a bit crazy with Amaris’s health being a roller coaster (which included a prolonged stay in Mexico). Be that as it may, LLG was not sitting still!

Mommy has been working hard behind the scenes connecting with pregnancy centers and coordinating deliveries of Lifeline Layettes. We delivered 155 layette bundles all over the state of MO this year! The ladies have done various workdays throughout the year to put layette bundles together as they were needed.

Of course we also carried on with the yearly tradition of making Lifeline Boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Aunt Becky came to visit a few times this year, and was a big help with all sorts of Lifeline Gifts operations! She and Mommy both spent hours in the LLG shed sorting, arranging and packing. Naturally, there were lots of other volunteers as well, especially when we arranged packing days.

This year we packed and prayed over and delivered 150 boxes to be sent off around the world. In addition, we delivered several large boxfuls of supplies to CAM for distribution as school/care packages.

Delivering the boxes to our local OCC drop-off location!

We want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has given of their time, funds, supplies, prayers, and every way that you have helped with these projects. Thank the Lord for strength and energy to get it done! Our prayer is that these gifts will be a blessing and show Christ’s love to everyone who receives one.

120 Christmas Boxes Delivered!

Every year we try to make a batch of boxes to be sent to Samaritan’s Purse for their Operation Christmas Child program.

This year, we packed 120 boxes! As you can see from the pictures, it was a chilly fall day, but everybody had fun, and warmed up afterwards with hot soup and fresh homemade rolls!

Happy shoebox packers!

All of the boxes were lovingly packed, labeled, and stored in the trailer to await National Collection Week, when we could send them on to Samaritan’s Purse for distribution.

This week was National Collection Week, so on Wednesday we recruited a few volunteers to help unload, and toted the boxes in the trailer to our local drop-off center in the middle of town.

The friendly folks there helped us unload them and sort them.

Then we had to double-check that they were all labeled correctly before we packed them into boxes for transportation.

No sooner sorted than packed!

After they were all securely packed away, we gathered around to pray over them before we stacked them with all the rest of the boxes ready to be shipped off to Samaritan’s Purse.

And they’re off! We have tracking labels attached to most of them, so hopefully in a few months we’ll know where these boxes end up.

Thank you to everyone who gave of their time, money, or expertise to make this happen again this year! Thank the Lord for the opportunity to use the blessings He’s blessed us with to bless others! Please pray for these gifts that they would be a reflection of Christ’s love to the little ones who receive them.

Lots of Layettes!

The ladies here with Lifeline Layettes haven’t been loafing! Since we last wrote an update, they purchased supplies for (and packed) another 80 layette bundles.

We already had some bundles from a previous packing as well, so we were able to deliver 145 bundles to several different pregnancy centers here in MO in the last 2 weeks or so. Thank the Lord!

Our clients will truly appreciate your layettes, the stuffed animal adds a very special touch to the beautiful layette set. Thank you for the [layettes].

Dad and mom delivered 65 bundles to the Springfield area to various pregnancy care centers. Here are a few photos from those deliveries.

Then a week or so later, David took a trip to St. Louis area, where he delivered another 60 bundles!

Thank you so very much for the layette bundles. They are BEAUTIFUL! We appreciate every second that you put into making them. May God bless each of you and your families. Thank you for what you are doing for the mom’s in our center.

Last week Uncle Fain and Aunt Regina delivered the last 20 bundles to Columbia/Jefferson City area!

Thank you so very much for these lovely layettes! I love how adorably they are packaged with the little animals sticking out! These mean so very much to us as Coalition Life’s pregnancy resource center coaches so many women who could use the love for their babies and themselves! I also am so touched by the details of what you have included–the cozy mom shirt and the handmade baby quilts are just so thoughtful.

Through your generous support, we have received enough donations to start on Round 2 for 2022! We’re already making purchases and planning for the next packing day!

All the credit and the praise goes to God, who has given the vision, the funds, the supplies, and the resources to make these layettes available to those who need them.

Progress

The year started out a little slow for Lifeline Gifts, after the end-of-year rush to get all the boxes in. But there’s been some behind the scenes work going on just the same!

One improvement was to update the website to hopefully be a little more easily navigable and clear on what we do. The new homepage features Lifeline Layettes and Lifeline Boxes prominently, with links to more details and donation buttons respectively.

Another improvement was to our physical facilities! Some good friends came to visit, and while they were here, they helped us build some shelves in the Lifeline Gifts storage shed so that we can be better organized!

Sorting and cutting lumber to use for the shelves.
Measuring and fitting the shelves!

We built the shelves in the morning, and then spent part of the afternoon doing inventory and sorting and arranging everything on the new shelves!

It’s got to get worse before it can get better, I guess…

The finished product! (All those black bags are Lifeline Layettes ready to go.)

Another area of progress is that we’ve been contacting many new pregnancy centers in an ever-expanding circle around our area, many of whom are connected to 40 Days for Life. We’re hoping to expand our reach, and bless many mothers who choose LIFE for their little one!

Amaris has been making lots of purchases for the Layettes especially, and we’ve got nearly 100 more layettes in the works to be sent out soon to new places. Thank you so much to everyone who contributed financially in the past few weeks! We can’t do any of this without funds to buy supplies!

One more thing! Ezra created some LLG bookmarks, one to use for promotional material, and another one for moms, (to be put with the Bibles that go in Lifeline Layettes.)

Our new LLG promotional bookmark!
Our new LLG bookmark for moms!

Thanks again to everyone who supports this venture! We are excited to see how God opens doors and works through these new developments.

Where in the World Did The Boxes Go?

Last November when we sent off the 150 Lifeline Boxes, we attached some tracking labels to them so that we could find out where they went! Samaritans Purse sends the Operation Christmas Child boxes all around the world, so we were quite curious where ours would end up.

Well, we looked up the tracking info on Samaritans Purse’s website, and it looks like our boxes ended up in Namibia, Honduras, and Madagascar!

A couple of members of our LLG team have visited Namibia before, and a couple of us have been to Honduras as well! We all love traveling and experiencing other cultures, and it’s fun to picture how far our boxes traveled to get to their destination, and the delight of the children who received them!

We trust and pray that the love of Jesus will speak to their hearts through the simple little gifts that they received. Thank you to all who gave of their time, money, and muscles to bless 150 little ones in Christ’s name! To Him be the praise and the glory!

150 Boxes Delivered!

Last week was National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child, so we took our trailer full of boxes and dropped it off at the nearest location.

With many hands unloading, it didn’t take us long!

We stacked boxes from each category on a separate table for easy categorizing and packing. All of these little boxes had to be packed into big boxes to be shipped to the Samaritan’s Purse processing centers.

We stayed to help pack the boxes into the larger boxes and then stack them against the wall to await shipment.

Then before we left, we gathered around the boxes and prayed over them, asking God to bless them as they travel to their final destinations. We would appreciate your prayers as well, that the children who receive these boxes would not only receive a physical gift, but that they would understand the far greater Gift that God sent to the world in the person of His Son. We want these boxes to be just a small “picture” of that great gift of God’s love for the whole world.

October-Nov 2021 Update

Greetings, friends of Lifeline Gifts!

We are excited to share with you the news that we just finished packing the 150th box! With the help of your generous financial support, and the shopping and bargain-hunting skills of our team members, we’ve been collecting supplies for boxes for about a year now! This year we are again sending the finished boxes to Samaritan’s Purse for their Operation Christmas Child program. Since the deadline for submitting the filled boxes is now only two days away, we had to stir our stivvers to get all of the supplies into their respective boxes and on their way to the intended recipients!

We’d like to say a big thank you to Anita and Candace Morley for taking on the big job of organizing all of the materials, as well as planning and scheduling the packing days! Much of the behind-the-scenes work was done by those two ladies, and we certainly could not have done it without them! Thank you ladies!

Amaris’s health has not been good enough recently to allow her to take an active part in all of the Lifeline Gifts doings this year, but she is still the driving force and visionary behind the project.

Over the past few weeks we’ve packed 150 boxes in six different categories:

  • Boys – small
  • Boys – medium
  • Boys – large
  • Girls -small
  • Girls – medium
  • Girls – large

Our last big day of packing was such a beautiful fall day that Amaris was even able to come sit in an easy chair and watch the proceedings! Many hands make light work, and we filled the 100 remaining boxes in only about 3 hours. Now they’re all packed into the trailer awaiting delivery to the nearest dropoff location!

All of the boxes ready to go!

Please pray with us that these boxes would be a blessing wherever they go! May they be a little “picture” of God’s wonderful gift of His Son who came for even “the least of these”! Thank you for partnering with us in your prayers and financial support! We truly could not do it without you!

September 2021 Update

Hi Friends!

Exciting news – 6 girls packed 51 layette bundles on Saturday!!  Added to the progress of that accomplishment, was the fact that the week before we had a nearly new 23 x 30 metal shed delivered, paid for by interested people.  Several of the young people helped us move all the totes and boxes to the new LLG shed, so this packing went so much smoother and faster than any other time, and we got many more done in  a shorter period of time.  Another added help was a 12 foot cafeteria style table we’d found at a yard sale just that morning for just $60, as you see in the attached photo.  Amaris was able to watch on a camera.

We did as many bundles as we had Bibles for…. so we have used up the 120 Bibles we purchased exactly 3 months ago! Time to buy some more!!

Boxes 2021:  Because of a couple of large donations last month, we have been able to finish all the purchasing for 150 boxes to be sent through Samaritan’s Purse (or a missionary, if someone contacts us before we arrange to send them off).  In addition, a young single man missionary in the mountains of Mexico contacted us wanting about 30 boxes to deliver to a poor village he ministers to occasionally.  We hope to get those 30+ done mid-Oct, and then do the 150 in shifts as we have help available, before the Nov. 15 deadline.  It is so rewarding to see this coming together, all to the glory of God.  We pray over these bundles and boxes while packing and after we finish, that each one they go to will be influenced for eternity, and then they will influence someone else.  If you can’t go, and you can’t give, then please PRAY!  Transportation for getting these boxes where they need to go, is a big expense and logistic to work out still.

I believe God has sent this ministry as a lifeline to me and I pray that it will be a Lifeline to many others.  Thank you Jesus for what you are going to do.

Thank you so much for considering Lifeline Gifts!  We appreciate every dollar and try to make each one count! We couldn’t do this without you! To Jesus all the glory for every life touched.

Blessings,

Amaris Morley (by Mom’s hand) | www.lifelinegifts.com

July 2021 Update

Just a quick update from Ezra here! Amaris’s health has been very poor for the last few weeks, and she spent almost 2 weeks in the hospital. 🙁 She is home now, and making some small improvements, but is still very weak.

On the bright side, Lifeline Gifts has never been busier! We had a “packing night” where 42 layette bundles were prepared this month, plus 20 gifts for moms. Many of those have already been delivered! I took a whole carload of layette bundles to a couple of different locations the other day, Mom just delivered a few this morning, and more will be going out tomorrow! We now distribute to 10 Centers within a 100 mile radius!

We are also praising the Lord that in the last two months generous folks have donated more than $4,000 for buying supplies, and we have found some super deals on reduced goods that we need for the boxes and layettes. We’ve also received some donations of diapers, bottles, etc. for the layette bundles!

Thank you for your giving and for your prayers for this ministry. May God bless you!

June 2021 Update

Hello friends,

I wanted to write and give an update about Lifeline gifts!

As many of you know, I have a chronic illness and am still going through treatment for Lyme.  Unfortunately we have not seen the results that we had hoped for and I had become very discouraged. The Lord really convicted me and gave me this verse of song — “Rescue the perishing, duty demands it; Strength for thy labor the Lord will provide. Back to the narrow way, patiently win them; tell the poor wanderer a Savior has died.” It really helped get my perspective back in the right place! Whenever I’m starting to get discouraged or I’m feeling really bad, I try to think about Lifeline gifts. I would be in the depths of despair if I didn’t have something to work towards. I don’t have much energy so it takes me a long time to get anything done, but I have been doing a lot of thinking and planning.

So that brings me to my challenge for you. Would you prayerfully consider telling someone about Lifeline Gifts? Please help spread the word to a friend, your church, a business, or even to your neighbor. Attached is an advertisement that you can print and can give out.

I would love to be able to send out 400 boxes this year, and also make many more layette bundles. I only have $2,000 right now which is enough to fund about 75 boxes. I am setting a goal of $20,000. I know that seems to be a big figure but I believe that God can provide. We can use much more than that but this will be a great start.

We’re excited to send around 20 backpacks (boxes for children) to Mexico this summer!  We sent 20 layette bundles around Christmas to a ministry that does sidewalk counseling in front of abortion clinics. We just heard from them today — “I have only 5 left!!!!! We have given them away to the moms who changed their minds this year!  The Lord gave us a bus (size of one that’s like 25 seats) – but seats are out and it’s getting remodeled to look like an office inside with table for moms to lay on for an ultrasound — I’m having shelves added and was going to contact you in a month to get more!! The moms loved them as they un-layered them!!  Van should be done in about a month!” Praise the Lord!  (We’re planning to send more layette bundles to them soon!)

Also my Mom has been diligently calling around to different pregnancy centers and we are trying to find more ministries that minister to women considering abortion. We will be sending 6 layettes to our local pregnancy center.

Jesus said in Matthew 28, “GO into all the world and preach the gospel.” That is His command for all of us. For me right now it means 10 minutes a day of computer work and many hours of thinking and planning. But for you it might be giving financially, actually going, praying, or giving of your time.   If we get enough regular support we can proceed with becoming a non-profit, which would really help us with tax exemptions and getting supplies cheaper.

If you can’t give financially, I totally understand, but please pray for Lifeline gifts! I believe God has sent this ministry as a lifeline to me and I pray that it will be a Lifeline to many others. Thank you Jesus for what you are going to do. We glorify your name. Amen.

Thank you so much for considering Lifeline Gifts!  We appreciate every dollar and try to make each one count! We couldn’t do this without you!

Blessings,
Amaris Morley
