Update for 2024 and 2025

Apologies for the long delay in posting an update! Lifeline Gifts has certainly not been standing still, we just haven’t had time to write an update about what all has been going on.

In 2024 we packed and sent off 125 LLG Boxes (via Operation Christmas Child). During 2024 we also delivered about 330 Lifeline Layettes to various pro-life organizations and pregnancy centers around the state. That’s more than 2x as many layettes as we did last year! Here are some pictures that show different parts of the process.

In 2025 we did 180 LLG Boxes and 160 layette bundles, which brings us to a total of more than 1,000 Lifeline Layettes assembled and delivered between Nov. 2020 and Dec. 2025. Praise God!

Those numbers from 2024 are a miracle, because that was also the time when Amaris was at her lowest. Mom managed to keep the layette bundle project going during this time by God’s grace. Amaris had a feeding tube from March 2024 to April 2025, (nearly one year), which seems to have helped to heal her gut issues caused by so many antibiotics over the years tearing up her stomach.

Since then, she has begun eating again, and gaining strength. She smiled, laughed, wanted to wear her glasses and dress up a bit more! She’s gone from having Mom do everything for her, to nearly independently getting around in the house and going outside! What a joy to behold! Praise the Lord for His healing touch on her.

With increased strength, Amaris’ desire to be a blessing and help with LLG has also increased. She still can’t walk or stand, and her right arm/hand is curled up and crippled, but she wants to do something for Jesus. She began in June ’25 to color, and send her artwork to people we knew were suffering or sad or hurting. Since then over 250 coloring pages have been mailed out, and more given by hand. She understands loneliness and suffering, and is giving back that comfort that God has blessed her with now.

Then she began coloring small pictures for the front of the letter to Mama-to-be for each layette. That kept all her waking hours busy! A few months later, she asked if she could sew again!! With only her left hand? YES!! She started out with a board across her recliner, and the presser foot under her left elbow.

Then in Dec ’25, we were able to get her a mobility chair, and she began sewing in earnest.

The more Amaris did, the more her brain awakened and she is now using her computer and a 12 needle BIA commercial embroidery machine! Now she doesn’t color the cards for the Mama-to-be, she embroiders them!!

As she has just taken off, her speech and memory have come back. Now she (with Mom’s helping supervision) can do quilting and embroidery on just about anything!! She has designed and sewn over 25 baby quilt tops since Dec. She has found a purpose again, and she wants to give, give, give. Praise be to Jesus!! What a miracle He has done in Amaris’ life!

Thank you, all you who have faithfully prayed, visited, written or called all along this journey!

In March 2026, the LLG shed was emptied and professionally insulated with spray foam. Then Dad got more shelves built and Mom got things put back more organized, so the layettes can continue to go out. We use the shed for storage to keep the items collected for the LLG boxes over the year, ready to pack in November for OCC.

We plan to do 180 boxes again this year. Amaris has been doing some of the ordering again! What a blessing! Thank you for giving to allow this ministry to continue.
